Chapter 250 Val's Motivation And Revenue Spike
Chapter 250 Val\'s Motivation And Revenue Spike
"Skewer!" Arthur directly went with his strongest skill and pierced through the beast\'s torso.
Due to the fact that the beast was panicked from the pain, his attack hadn\'t managed to hit the head or the neck, but it had still hit a crucial area.
[-45% HP!]
[Critical Hit!]
>Dry Field Varun has been inflicted with bleed!<
[-2% HP] [Bleed]
"Spear Coating! Fire bolt!" of course, Arthur didn\'t let it end just there and also activated the spell he had stored in the spear.
~BOOM~
Since Dietrich was struck in the torso of the Dry Field Varun, the Fire Bolt didn\'t really get a chance to fly out. Instead, it imploded within the body, messing up its insides and burning them all.
~SPLAT~
Blood and guts spewed out of the Dry Field Varun\'s mouth, as its life came to an end.
[-12% HP!]
[Fatal Hit!]
>Player Arzhur has killed the Dry Field Varun!<
>Player Arzhur has obtained 12% Experience!<
>Player Val has assisted in killing the Dry Field Varun!<
>Player Val has obtained 67% Experience!<
>Player Val has leveled up!<
>Player Val has obtained 10 Free stat points!<
"It\'s… Already over?" Val was left stunned.
They had come all the way to hunt down a field boss and she had thought that it would take a lot more effort than this. And yet, Arthur had managed to kill it in just two hits. While she herself had managed to get a decent first hit, it still showed just how much damage Arthur could deal in a short time.
"Well, at least you got another level." Arthur said as he pulled out the Key Spear from the Dry Field Varun\'s body.
~slick~
"Yeah…" but Val felt like she was still lacking quite a lot.
Several thoughts flowed through her mind, as she wondered what was it that she needed to do to get stronger.
\'Getting levels like this will be easy if I stick with him, but I don\'t think my skills themselves are improving as much.\' Val thought to herself.
A few moments later she realized that if she stuck with Arthur all the time, she might end up becoming too much reliant on him.
\'I need to do these on my own. Only when I\'m at least halfway as good as him, would it be suitable for us to party up and hunt.\' Val thought to herself, a new motivation building within her mind.
Arthur knew nothing that was happening in the young girl\'s mind. To him, it was just a hunt that had gone well.
"Let\'s head back, and sell the materials. I think you\'ll have enough to commission a new bow for yourself from all this." Arthur stated.
"Yeah." Val gave a short reply and followed after him.
The two made their way back to Roran town. Since they had already killed most of the enemies that they had come across, they weren\'t delayed much. Four hours later, they managed to reach the town.
However it was dark by this time and there were just a couple of hours left till logout time.
"Let\'s go sell this off first." Arthur said and took her to the same places as before.
A few minutes later, Arthur gave Val her share.
"Two Gold Coins…" Val couldn\'t believe her eyes. "Is it fine for me to have these?" She asked.
"Yeah, they include the ones you kill so it\'s fair to get your share," Arthur replied having done a 50-50 split.
"T-thank you." Val said with gratitude. \'This\'ll be enough for me to get started!\' she clenched her fists.
Arthur noticed this but attributed it to her excitement.
"If you are able to rush, you might be able to get to the shop before closing. Get your commission started." Arthur suggested.
"Ah yes! I should get going!" Val said before running at full speed.
After all, if she commissioned it right now, there was a great chance she would be able to get it the next time she logged in.
Once she was gone, Arthur looked at the time and saw that he had about an hour left to log out.
"I can\'t do much. I may as well log out earlier and log in early at night." He muttered to himself.
While he hadn\'t made much gains today, he had still made some progress. Especially in the case of the new spells he had bought. He had familiarized himself with their use and was now ready to use it in tougher battles.
\'Tomorrow though, I should start making my way to Samson City. I\'ll just go over the Ballard Cliffs to get there earlier.\' Arthur made up his mind.
He realized his presence had become a catalyst in the game. And this wasn\'t just for the players, but also the NPCs. There were events happening that he couldn\'t wrap his mind around, like the unknown mage killing the Night Slayer.
\'If I have to deal with unexpected things, the only way to come out on top is to have strength. My advantage of future knowledge might not work all the time if the events keep on changing.\' Arthur understood.
While thinking of all this, he reached the inn and logged out.
~shua~
Arthur found himself staring at the desktop screen of the Dream Pod V3 as multiple notifications popped up in front of him. He gazed at them and saw that most were still from the forums. But among them, there was one that caught his attention the most.
"Holy… how did it reach this much?" Arthur\'s eyes went wide.
<User Revenue>
——
Total Generated: 42,617 UC

Arthur hadn\'t withdrawn any of the revenue for the past few days, but he hadn\'t expected it to jump this much.
"Wait, what do the logs say?" Arthur took a deeper look and soon found the reason.
The Source of the spike was a single ping.
