Chapter 442 Unexpected reward
Many people couldn’t travel because the fees of transportation were too high for them.
Whether it was the giant birds or the horse-drawn carriages, not all families could afford it, and in addition these means of transportation usually took a lot of time, which discouraged those who could afford it from using them.
For example, using a giant bird from Dawn city to go to the capital city would take 2 weeks, and using a carriage would take more than a month.
So, if nothing was done to facilitate the transportation of people, humans and demons would never meet.
And in order for their cities to prosper, and grow, they needed people who could open businesses and receive a lot more costumers.
Evy was also very enthusiastic about this transportation network and she said to him : “Since Liam told me about this network, I’ve had a lot of ideas about how to develop it after the war, and since our respective King can create long distances Teleportation Talismans papers in just a few minutes, our possibilities are unlimited.”
Kevin looked at Ian and Ian then said : “If needed, of course I don’t mind making them.”
Kevin then looked back at Evy and he said to her : “Ian and I are agreed to help you, so all you have to do now is make an agreement with the black market on the network that you want to create, and my only condition for Ian and I to participate is that I want the prices to be as low as possible.
Let’s be clear, this means of transportation must not be used to make money but to develop exchanges between our different cities and territories and it must be seen as a service to the population.”
Ian nodded and he said as he looked at Kerry : “I totally agree with Kevin, everyone should be able to use them, so ask Alice to put a lot of efforts to develop this means of transportation.”
Kerry nodded in complete agreement with this project, and Evy obviously agreed as well.
Everyone seemed very excited about this idea and all the sects present at this meeting also agreed to help create Talisman Teleportation papers.
Kevin was really happy that everyone was so enthusiastic and so he moved on and said : “Garry, you are the representative of the Sun Sect and you fought alongside Dilan and Nolan at the border, you have always been loyal to the Queen and you didn’t hesitate for a second to help us in the battle.
You can choose whatever reward you want, for yourself and all the instructors of the Sun Sect… But I would still like you to consider my wish.”
Garry was rather surprised and honestly he didn’t expect to receive any reward, so he said to him : “My King, the Sun Sect was honored to fight alongside you and none of us did it for a reward, however if you have a wish, I will try to respect it.”
Kevin smiled at him and he said : “There is no obligation of course but I would like the Sun Sect to become the new Capital Academy.”
When Kevin saw that everyone seemed to be totally stunned, he told them : “As Sora said so well yesterday, those who helped us will receive extraordinary rewards, while those who decided not to participate in this battle will have to bear the consequences.
The Sun Sect was the only Sect to fully participate in this battle and all the instructors put themselves in danger to free the Queen.
They took this decision without even knowing that they would be fighting for me because only those who agreed to participate in the battle knew of my existence, and it was also a test of the loyalty of our allies.
The leaders of the capital academy refused to answer our call and even though they didn’t take sides and didn’t fight for the King either, there is no way that this academy will remain in the capital.”
No one had expected this, not even Liam, and Kevin continued, seeing that everyone was listening : “The Sun Sect, if Garry agrees of course, will be given the premises of this academy, which they will have to rebuild elsewhere.
Most of their students are from noble families, so I’m sure they’ll have no problem finding another place, only it will have to be far from the capital and the purple dungeons they’ve used to keep for themselves. This will be their punishment.
The library of this academy will also be open to everyone, not just members of the Sun Sect.
Everyone should have access to the same knowledge and therefore as soon as possible I would like to have the books that are in the library and that cannot be found elsewhere published in multiple copies.
Also, and this goes for the Moon Sect and the Sky Sect as well, I would like to see the credit that the Sun Sect gave to new students with high potential extended to all those who have a potential of becoming a mage or fighters.
By crafting potions, the mages can easily pay back their tuition fees, and for the fighters, the money they earn from looting dungeons will help them pay back their tuition fees as well.
If needed, the palace will provide the necessary resources for all Sects to implement this new way of paying the tuition fees.
Because anyone who has the potential to become a mage or a fighter should not have to worry about money.”
Axel then added : “I don’t know if you’ve noticed yet, but the number of blue and purple dungeons has increased dramatically lately, and this increase in dungeons will now remain permanent.
So as Kevin suggested, all new fighters should have the chance to loot blue dungeons now to gain experiences and some money.
More teams can be created and the number of expeditions we have been doing so far can be doubled or even tripled in some areas.
This will also give the newbie fighters a chance to buy their own weapon much earlier than before.”
